Thirsty Thursday – From the Bike

Well today I set off to explore the city on my bike.   I tossed the X-100s around my neck and snapped as I went.    Some images are blurry, some have my arm and bars in them and some I actually pulled over to snap an image.  I was more concerned with the ride than the photo.

Since moving to NYC I realized why I would want to return to the Carlisle Area, I missed my bikes.     Since my first mountain bike race when I was 12, I have been addicted to riding.  Whether is be the Sunday morning ride with Jeff and Steve (which I was ALWAY late to) or cruising thru farmlands on the road bike, my bike always meant freedom.

The problem came when I had to make an important decision, which bike to bring.

Downhill bike? Nah too heavy and slow.

Freeride bike? Don’t need all that travel, plus I need that when I return to Michaux.

Road bike? Too light and fragile.

Dirt Jump bike? Too much of a pain to pedal.

Cycle Cross bike?   PERFECT!!

Here is the loop I rode. Not bad with an average of 17MPH with all the stopping and avoiding getting hit    Since you can see where I ended, please don’t stalk me.   Next time I will be more concerned with the photos rather than the ride.

*Camera note.  These images are straight out of the camera.  I have been shooting in JPG mode on the x100 and cant get over the results.   I was too lazy to edit anything, so what you see is what I shot while riding.
